How many hifi system do you possess?

Just a question . . . . . . you may count simple one box system all in one, but not car stereo.
It came to my mind when I actually was listening, for once, to a very good music program on a local radio station. It was december 26, and it was so good, I turned on all the tuner/radio I have at home to realize I have main hifi in the listening room, second one around the tv set (both naim and both with tuner), a radio into the kitchen, another portable combo radio into the sleeping room, another into the "service" room, or whatever you call it, another combo radio into my kid's room. That makes six sources. I am not counting two computers though, they have very poor speaker set.
I had the same music at the same time all over the place . . . like a real multiroom system . . . I wonder if majority of forum members tend to have just one good system, or if, like me, their houses are populated with many small, minor, often forgotten music reproduction systems . . . it is a sort of techno waist or so, isn't it?
It is a shame they cannot all be "forced" to channel the same music at once, only radio broadcasting allows that . . . .
just a silly thought
kind regards
Andrea

That's a great basement system, Shoot.
How is the tuner on the main floor treating you? I'd like to pick up a similar one.

Thanks Jim,
The Rotel RT-830A was Recommended by 'What HiFi' way back when, and I think it sounds great. The people at fmtuner.com say that this tuner has a very good AM capability and an 'ok' fm ability.
But I suspect a used one can be had for less than $100 and it's a bargain. There's plenty of musicality and enough of a soundstage to be getting on with.
If I do eventually get a second tuner, it'll likely be a vintage Sansui TU-717 or 719 for upstairs and I'll take the Rotel downstairs.
I thought about a refurb'ed Magnum Dynalab, the factory is a half-hour drive away, we'll see how that goes ...
Cheers,
Ron

Three:
Main: CDSii (or Verdier) > Joule Electra LA150 > Joule Electra VZN-100 OTL amps > Merlin VSM Speakers.
Upstairs*: CD5i (or Devilsound DAC) > Nait 5i > nSats. (*Son's bedroom, his system.)
TV Room: Meridian F80. (cool little box. Could not justify a Uniti which would doubtless be an improvement.)

Two (see my profile)
However when building work is finished on our new extension it will probably have a networked Uniti as a one box xolution, linked to the HDX etc.

Sorry Jim but I do not see what you mean . . .
I'm referring to forum members . . each one has his own family I guess, and they all live together . . . am I wrong? So if you are the head of the family, this is it.
Sorry if I misunderstood something . . .
Kind regards

Three "proper" hi-fi systems up and running at home (and a cupboard full of components for about another two). Main living room, music room, home office.
A very nice headphone only system in my office at work, which gets more use than the others put together.

Chaps
I have two systems
1. CDS3+XPS / Garrard 401 with Naim Aro and Loricraft plinth and PSU / NAT01 powered by NAC52+Supercap / NAP300 / Briks / all mounted on Hutter.
2. CDX / NAT05 / 32.5+Hicap / 250 / mounted on Soundorg.
I also intend to buy a Nainuniti next year for a place I have in Spain.
I am also having a 1950 Bush Radio restored for use in my office.

A proper system in the living room.
An old quadraphonic Pioneer QX-646 receiver (found it at the curb one trash night) and plastic Philips speakers in the basement.
An old Panasonic table radio (garage sale, 3 USD) in the office.
All are regularly used and enjoyed.

I have my son's system in a spare bedroom at the moment while he tours SE Asia (at last report "tubing" down the Mekong River in Laos, drinking at riverside bars!)
It's a Harmon Kardon CD player, NAD Tuner, Naim amp of course (92/90) and Legend Kurre 4 standmount speakers kindly donated by me. Sounds bloody good too.
