Just back from a week in Koln where I was lucky to catch Sclavis live - trio format with drums and electric bass; small bare room; primitive PA - but the music was staggering. One of the best concerts I've ever seen.

I also saw the German trio [em] (Wollny/Kruse/Schaeffer) who were as great as I expected them to be, and spent a small fortune on jazz CDs at Saturn records (including Jarrett's Sun Bear set). I expect most of the stuff I post on this thread in the next week or so will have been purchased on that shopping spree.

Regards
Nigel

Sounds great. I look forward to seeing what you bought. The Sun Bear boxset is a great experience. I particularly like the Encores Disc.

Cheers

Hi Haim,

Yes, I have this one. I will have to go back 'round and listen to it though. Been a while. Been listening to 'Live at the It Club' a lot lately.
