Jamie,
I cant say i remember that Billy album.
Who is on it with him?
Alot of his 70s stuff was disjointed ,Who ever he played with.It should have some good fills on it though.

As well as Billy Cobham the musicians are:
Jan Hammer, keys. Tommy Bolin, guitar. Lee Skylar, bass, plus guests on a couple of tracks, Ron Carter, Joe Farrell, Jimmy Owens, John Tropea and Ray Baretto.

It has the track 'Stratus' which Massive Attack sampled on 'Blue Lines', that 'grinding' bass line. Lots of great drumming, but too much soloing, and even for a drummer to listen to. I don't like drum solos (with the possible exception of Art Blakey - Epistrophy, and Bill Bruford, who rarely soloed anyway).

Good idea Andy - I am going to play PJ as well.

Saw her a few years back a Glasgow Green along with Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age, The Distillers, Electric Six - she was the stand out of the day - would like to catch her in a more intimate gig though - fabulous clip on youtube of her singing Rid of Me at the big day out festival in Sydney 2001. Sensational Winker

MilesSmiles and I saw her at the Sydney Opera House and we had stage side seats so we were very close to her. She played solo and it was made up of a lot of tracks from the new album. It was my first PJ live experience and it was very good.

Oliver,

I am late responding to your question about Sharon Kam. I made a mistake and posted the wrong disc. I was listening to her most recent recording which is a duo with piano:

http://www.jpc.de/jpcng/classic/detail/-/hnum/1027231?rk=home&rsk=hitlist

It is a collection of short pieces of various composers. The music is a bit on the light side but the playing is very good. I enjoy the album a lot.

Regards,
Haim
