Sorry Adrian, I have the Garifuna discs ahead of this one, but a good album all the same

It's an emotional one for me Huw. Reminds me of the good old days sitting in my listening room in sunny Sydney. I am trying to recreate that feeling in wet and miserable Sussex. I still prefer it to the Garifuna anyway. That voice is so sweet.

I prefer it as well to the Garifuna, but I'm a little biased as well. Was fortunate enough to see him earlier this year in a small club setting.

That is such a good album. It certainly deserves wider airplay.

Grace Jones 'Slave to he Rhythm' (Island Masters release)
I am really enjoying what there is of this album on this release, I would have enjoyed it far more if Island had released the full album, and not this travesty.

Half of one track is missing, faded out, I am pretty sure bits of other tracks are cut too. The tracks are in the wrong order, so the flow of the album does not work, and the link sections between the tracks and almost entirely removed. WHY!!!

Does anyone know if the original album is available anywhere on CD?

Amazon list the album with the original track order, but then sent me this. I would love to get the original, as my vinyl copy of this got pretty scratched at a student party a long time ago.

Makes me want to go to a sweaty, dark, smoke filled, strobe lit, laser flickering, sexy girl infested club and shake my thang like tomorrows the end of the world.
