Nancy Griffiths - One Fair Summers Evening

I find that Spin On A Red Brick Floor is a grand way to end side two.

I often pair One Fair Summers Evening with her Little Love Affairs and find myself humming along with most tracks on both records.

Stuart,

Do you have any Blue Nile? PG's Ovo has Paul Buchanan singing on 2 tracks. I have thought about my favourite gig this year and I have to say that Blue Nile at Somerset House was the best. The setting was perfect for the band and to hear Paul's voice just took your breath away.

The drummer on HF is Fudge Smith and very good too. I'm not sure how easy it is to get HF but if you look on Tim Bowness's site you will see a double album is in the works. Naim Forum's Mr Stephen Bennett is in the band and he likes Mellotrons Big Grin

Dean..

I love the rap parody that goes from everything from sampled Zep to Schubert's Unfinished Symphony,.. before a House DJ says "Turn that sh*t off!".

An amazing track that will go down with the ages.

Have spent the day playing with a Rega P9/Apheta/Ios and so far have been really enjoying it - not quite as detailed as my LP12 but it's fun!

BON IVER : FOR EMMA, FOREVER AGO
I had to hear this record again after so much positive comments. It's really wonderful, so many months after the release I bought this CD today. No regrets playing at home.

Cant stop playing it.

Don't think you got it off me unless you sneaked up to the CD room and borrowed it!

I did not know I even had the album until I just searched. I knew I had one Callier album but with a different cover. It is also called Timepeace and has the same tracks on.

MilesSmiles gave this album sometime last year. I had better give it a proper play then if it is so good.

Here is my version.
