Totally forgot about the Fernando disc Jeff. Meant to buy it when it came out in 1999 but just it just slipped my mind.

Hope you like it Jeff. I have had this on my wish list for about a year now and bumped into it in the CD store today so bought. I think it is a good CD with touches of Bruce and Steve Earle.

Got it when it first came out but sold it recently on ebay as it just didn't bear repeated listens in my house.

Now Chris Knight he is another matter.

If you like this kind of stuff then pop over to lonestar music. It's "the" Texas music site.

Ewen,

So wonderfully Beatles-esque. Fernando is a very nice man - he once introduced Heidi and I to his Argentinian parents, at one of his gigs.

One of the most magical moments for us at live gigs was seeing Fernando front a band that included Warren Pash on keys, Luther Russell on guitar, Jimi Bott on drums and Dan Eccles on guitar - they were absolutely "on" that night.

Now have this gem on :

true enough , although even that doesn't sound so weird when judged against this album :

I love the Lamb. In some parts it is stunning. But I have never tried to make sense of the story or lyrics. Way beyond me! I think most of the band did not have a clue what it was about either.

That's why it is handy to have a Sister in Law living in the States. She has saved me huge amount of cash in the past.

The Portland connection ?

If so, she is buried in snow (relatively) at the moment - Portland is at a stand-still, chains required on vehicles for travel on all streets. First time I remember that happening in the 29 years I have lived here.

Old Greenwich CT Jeff is her abode.

I am now listening to the greatest Honky Tonk music artist in LA.
