If you Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, you should give some samples on their website a try. Might not live up to early Pink Floyd, but very pleasant psychedelic music.

Thanks Munch, no temperature, but still on the Lemsip and tissues.

Oh, and for anyone who likes the rock side of Rush, but does not know Led Zeppelin 'Presence', it is a superb album, ignore the reviews from some places, the music journalists were all jumping on the punk bandwagon at the time.

No credits on the cover but one of the biggest supergroups of the 80s.
John Lydon - vocals, Steve Vai - guitar, Bill Lazwell - bass & production, Ruichi Sakamoto - keyboards, Ginger Baker - drums. There were others playing in the sessions, including Miles Davis, but none of his material made the final cut.

The last track 'Ease' has one of the great comedy guitar solos of all time, Vai manages to get in every cliche he can think of, and avoids any tune, and sense of form.

I bought my copy on vinyl. I wonder if someone on the forum has the "Cassette" version?

American Music Club 'Everclear' - grabbed this as an illegal MP3 download to try, as AMC/Mark Eitzel is a huge influence on one of my favourite songwriters Mark Kozelek, both part of the 90s so called sadcore movement.

It is fantastic, will get it on CD from the net later. Does anyone have any other AMC/Mark Eitzel to recommend?

I am also trying some Shearwater and Fleet Foxes in the same vein, but it is the AMC that has most impressed me do far.

I will lend you PIL, Album/Compact Disc/Cassette, a real solid rock album, 'Rise' was the big hit from the album (I could be black, I could be white, I could be wrong, I could be right, etc.), ring any bells?

A new 2 CD "Best of" Rod Stewart that I gave Rachel for Christmas. The boy could really sing in his heyday.

A great album and I always loved the cover shot. ESP was the first studio recording with the quintet including Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter and Tony Williams. If you want to hear a good live recording of this quintet put on the Plugged Nickel session.
Cheers ... Oliver
