Howard, most jazz is good. It just takes a bit of practice. Let me know when you fancy a jazz night Winker

And talking of good jazz - this outstanding boxset - the atmosphere is phenomenal - disc 3. Miles Davis Complete Live at the Plugged Nickel

Ah but there's jazz and then there's jazz. I have to see some point in it otherwise I'm not willing to listen. I even took off the Larry Carlton album I was listening to earlier, and I generally love his guitar work, but it went off in a noodling vein, so off it came.

RE a jazz night unfortunately we have just missed the shortest night. Winker Big Grin

Enough for now time for some zzzzzs TTFN

I Will - John Clark, French horn

still predominantly in the late 70's early 80's music wise at the moment:

2 excellent ones

also on this evening

I bought this for Mrs Sloop for Christmas after searching for Vivaldi recommendations on the forum.

It sounds wonderful to me and apparently it is a lauded performance and recording. Not cheap at $24 but after going mad on 5,8 and even 18 cd packages, I think we will get more value form this single cd.

Waiting for my copy to arrive, although I am worried that I will get one of those emails through Amazon, to say, sorry we thought it was in stock, but it wasn't.

Keeping an eye on one on Eaby, just in case.

You will love it - until recently I didn't know how hard this box set is to come by, fortunately I got mine when it came out (should have gotten a few extra copies to get rich on e-bay Winker).

Oliver,
Get this dvd if you want a good laugh.

Its a micky take of all the Hood films.
Its a great place if you know some one that lives there.
This dvd.

is also one of the best films to come out of England and Wales in the last 20 years.
It has a good sound track and you will laugh.
Its a welsh Godfather movie.
Stu
Munch, I've seen the Wayans brothers' flick but will have to look out for the other one.

I love it and even if you don't like the Jazz you have to admire the recording quality - I'm sure Lontano told you all about the little recording engineer right in the piano. Razz Winker
