For any fans of Norrland III, worth seeking out this most recent effort from the vocalists. Adrian, think you would like this.

Gaucho would be a good next step - but Royal Scam, Katy Lied or Pretzel Logic are no slouches either.

Cheers Oliver - recommendations and suggestions are coming thick and fast. They will be on my list.

Mark

Mark - I was just going to recommend you get the SACD version of Gaucho as the CD layer on that sounds superb. Seems though it ain't cheap, going for £74 on Amazon Eek I bought it last year for £10. Worth a look around. One of my better investments last year - credit crunch proof!!

Adrian I was going to put up a SACD copy on a well known auction site.

If you have marks email add you can give him mine and I will do the same deal as you paid for it incl postage. It is in mint condition.

Ewen,

your killing me - over Xmas I closed a lot of the gaps in my DCC collection. The two titles on top of my wish list are now this one and Dreamboat Annie.

If you don't have the AF version of 'Who do we think we are' take advantage of the great deal available now.

Cheers ... Oliver

Ha!!! Ha!!! think I will play it again Oliver. Got a cxopy of the AF disc. I see you have the SACD BBC show worthwhile getting as I have the original Japanese release.

That gold Runnin' was issued as part of the 40 Golden Great series by Warners in WG.

This is an absolutely stunning box set. Hard to get through all recordings, but worth it. I've managed to do the round, once, at least. No regrets.

Thanks again Richard. Hope you are keeping well. I will get them ordered then - most albums seem to be going for less than a fiver on Amazon.

Yes, I am fine thanks Mark. Enjoyed being off over Christmas and listening to a few albums. Contemplating upgrading the LP12 with an ARO arm and possibly a Keel.

Anyway, you should enjoy getting more familiar with Steely Dan - I would also recommend Two Against Nature fro 2000 once you have got through the earlier stuff.

Hi Oliver
Thanks for your reply. I found one on amazon.com for 25 dollars, shipping included, thats great. Are you also looking forward to the new Hoffman mastered CDs on Audio Fidelity?
regards
urs

Hi Miles
You must have the biggest DCC, MFSL...collection
Eric Burdon and War is one of my all time favourites, but cant find it for a affordable price. If you have a tip where to find it, I would sure appreciate it.
thanks
urs

Urs,

I try to avoid buying used CDs on e-bay or amazon, I get most of mine from folks I know on muisc forums. This one I got for $20. If you look on amazon you will find copies in the range of $20-95. You should be able to get it for around $25 which for an OOP gold CD is pretty darn good. I'm surprised they are so relatively cheap as the sound quality is just amazing. I found the same to be true for the Audio Fidelity gold discs I posted earlier. You can get them new and sealed for $20, they are mastered by Steve Hoffman and every bit as good as the original DCC gold CD series.

Take for example the DP 'Who do we think we are' on AF at $20 compared to the DP 'Made in Japan' on DCC which trades on amazon for a mind blowing $398.

Cheers ... Oliver

urs,

absolutely, can't wait for them to come out. There will be many great titles in the series.

Cheers ... Oliver
