The real fun starts with this one. When I had bought it, I started to listen, and I couldn't help feeling I was remotely (from the other room ?) listening to a cocktail party. Waiting for the music to start...

(and a boring Telco)
It reminded me (for the umpteenth time) that I need more Towner in my collection. Now this:

Symphony Number 6.

I agree on all counts! It was the first jazz record I ever bought. I haven't listened to it for awhile-- playing it now, is like meeting with an old friend...

Don't post here much, if at all, so I may get flamed for my absence.
Well, here's what I'm into right now:
Money Mark - 'Third Version EP' on vinyl (awesome with its 'Viewmaster' label on one side and astronaut playing keyboards on the other) which I just scored today, mint, 2nd hand for pennies.
Tori Amos - everything, as I have picked up almost her entire catalogue on CD for next to nothing the other day. Only thing I don't have, even though it's my favourite, is 'Strange Little Girls'. Long live downloading! CHEAP CDs!!!!!
Police - 'Zenyatta Mondatta', 'Ghost in the Machine' ('Spirits In The Material World' sounds so good) and 'Outlandos d'Amour' also on wax. UK pressings, mint, also picked up for nix.
Massive Attack's best of - gatefold LP. Simply outstanding on vinyl. Miles ahead of the CD in sound quality and experience. Even though it's a mate's!
Aphex Twin - 'Richard D James Album'
King Crimson's - 'Power To Believe'
Ben Folds - 'Songs For Silverman' and 'Rockin' The Suburbs'
Barenaked Ladies - 'Everything To Everyone'
Natalie Marchant - 'Tigerlily'

Hey Joe, I have Songs for Silverman. The Dr Dre cover, listed as final track 'Weather Channel Music' in my iTunes, is the best song for me. I'd better not quote any lyrics, but the look on a few people's faces when Mr Folds does it live is priceless.
By the way, if you don't have them already, you must get Massive Attack's Blue Lines, Protection, and Mezzanine albums.

Up early and working to this.
Must agree with MilesSmiles on the cover art (and music) for 'Monks Music', one of my favourite covers.

Reminds me of one of my very first rock concerts I went to in the late 70s. LZ in Frankfurt / Germany.
