It's probably those Russian cigarettes causing that!
But i see you keep playing this '6 cd box set', so i suppose you are enjoying the music?
I notice on Amazon this set is £17.98 which considering the Melodiya record label is a thumping good 'um this must be quite good value for money too?
Do you recommend the purchase?
I'm beginning to fondle my credit card! : )

well worth it nymph- really I should stop looking here, it costs me a fortune. At the moment I have a backlog of new CDs that just keep growing. At least when I retire and living of a pension I will have plenty to listen to.

Thank You FlyMe, I've ordered it!
Melodiya also have a box set of Shostakovich's symphonies, i noticed it was 44ukp last year but during December the price went up to 64ukp. I'm really hoping the price will fall again to a price i can afford because that set looks very, very, very, very tempting indeed.
Yes, i've purchased far too many cd's from this forums influence, and i expect that by the time we retire the cd format will have been replaced by something much better too!
But we may also go deaf or dense by then so don't wait, get listening now! ; )
best regards

Following Big H's lead, have not played this for a while. Very atmospheric, but think it will not get another spin for another while. Funny how you go off stuff, played it quite a bit when I first got it.

Worldly music, very energetically performed by quite a few musicians who excel in rhythm (to the expense of a understandable melody here and there), and many vocalists who sing in many different languages... but despite the noise, (for this is very noisy music), it is happy party-time stuff with quite a few enjoyable moments.
...and great for getting the ironing done! : )

ALEXIS KORNER
BLUES INCORPORATED
Amazing . . . . bass, electric and acustic guitars, drums, tenore, trombone and harmonica . . one song by Mingus . . . . very good, but, off course, music from 60s is still unsurpassed . . .

It is a good album. As for other albums to try, my favorite Jackson Browne album is "Late For The Sky." "Saturate Before Using" and "For Everyman" are also excellent.
