What's with the cough references?

At the end of 'In my time of dying' you can hear a cough on some later versions of the CD. The Japanese first pressing does not have that cough. While first pressing are very rare - many folks now chase the 'cough' version as well.

Agreed !

(Out of context, but: The new Jasmine Jansen recording of the Tschaikowsky Violin concerto stands out. Can't remember myself "swinging" with that one, so much...)

Colombian diva with her drummers, an old CD from at least '93 on World Circuit. Something to keep the bones warm. Download track 3, el Pescador, for a sample. I had to buy the CD recently as I can't find my LP and have had it on iTunes for a while.

Reminds me some of the stuff Lhasa does. Although her influence is Mexican.

Oh well...

He's playing at the Sydney festival now - won't be able to catch him so, am missing out on Nick Cave as well - he played yesterday and today.

Only so many hours in a day and Sydney is buzzing with activity this time of year.

Well, she's a bit older - been performing over 50 years. The drumming is typical for the island where she grew up and I have noticed that as my system has improved it is easier to differentiate the sounds and textures of the drums.
