My 1st experiences with them was at the Empire Pool Wembley, with Eric Burdon and Santana. They were ok. Thnik Perry had joined them on vocals by then but not sure.
If Perry was with them, essentially a different band. Everything would become radio-friendly commercial stuff. The original four (Rollie and Schon both ex-Santana, played with him at Woodstock) were a psychedic rock group, extended songs with amazing guitar excursions by Schon.
Schon and Valory were around when Perry joined but by then Schon was doing guitar fills for Cain on keys (Rollie and Dunbar had left by then) and Perry on vocals. The "new" group were good at what they were doing, but the original four live, in my experience, was amazing.

Looks like a very pleasant spacey morning. I must get a copy of 'Impulse', I think it is the only Free System Projeckt album I don't have. Think I will join you in similar vein.

Nine Inch Nails 'Ghosts I-IV' deluxe edition.
Mike, don't worry about a copy of Impulse, I see the 2005 version is at Musiczeit, and also the original CD is still at Groove.nl
I am also just downloading some sample tracks of a popular band here that I have meant to try for ages, Steely Dan. I know they are great songs and playing, but I have been a little wary, as I do like music to have a few rough edges, Still hope it will be a pleasant surprise.

I keep playing this one. Even the wife was glowing in her views on it.
