CD copy from the original vinyl release, not the 1976 'box' remix that was later put on CD.

I'd play this as well, but someone 'borrowed' mine!
(Thanks KK for the Alice Russell tip - another one to look out for.)

Munch, tell your son that it's criminal to not play them - like owning a vintage Ferrari and just looking at it. The Roses had the best drummer, best bassist, best guitarist and best frontman (worst singer!) of their generation... and blew it.
I have the first couple of Ian Brown's (though didn't like The Seahorses when I heard it) and they're ok, but maybe sound a little dated.
Talking of which, the Roses remind me of being a young kid, seeing everyone in flares up North in '89, and loving the whole thing. Good times.

Ian is this album worth getting?
I'm not the right person to ask - as I think everything JJ does (apart from being noisily pro-smoking ..) is fantastic. It is a more up beat collection than say 'Night and Day' or the delightful 'Night Music', if you like Beat Crazy you will like this. It is not his strongest album but even lesser JJ is good in my book.
If you get the chance to see him live jump at it - he is a lot of fun and a really gets the crowd going - at least up here.
cheers
Ian
