It is a truly great album.

Klout10 if you like the Red Devils disc try and get a hold of this one which is Lester Butlers other band 13.

One of the best deep down bar blues albums you will ever hear.

Nice music to work to. The recent BBC4 broadcast has out me back into Mr Oldfield's music.

I'm also interested in the Fiona Apple album you posted - how would you describe it?
Mark

From my original post about it in December 2005:

Fiona Apple - "Extraordinary Machine" Can't put my finger on what I like about this, but I do ... I am drawn to playing it frequently, so that is good. It is mysterious somehow. A local critic describes FA thusly: "Musically, her distinctive sound suggests a kid whose show-tune roots got twisted by adolescent angst, singer-songwriter confessionalism and rock 'n' roll aggression". I guess I would agree.

This album is cheap as chips on Amazon - used and new from 0.01p and is imho is far more fun to listen to when in comparison with the (very expensive) adulterated remaster No Anwser album, which although not the same album has a very similar play list of old weirdo elo music from the early days : )

.......... and the original and the best version Fred Neil Dolphins played over Christopher Moltisante getting high on the Sopranos. Incredible use of music and television to tell a story when no spoken words were relevant.

WB cd @ 2006

imho, Gnarls has a bucket load of talent, but it's just not going far with this ensemble. This could be so much better if reworked...
He could really do with a real loose and live ready rock band around him... jazzed and funked up as you like it, complete with a real set of drums played by a real bloke with real drum sticks... Oh yeah!
