Superb album and one of my all time fav's!

I considered buying a 1/2 speed master copy on vinyl (£25.00)but found a mint condition second hand gatefold copy(£3.00) at a vinyl fair I attended earlier today and I'm thrilled!

I have recently come to trust in the fact that good music sounds good...period. Of course a decent hifi helps(otherwise we wouldn't be on this forum)and a loyal recording can only add to the experience but the music must come first. I can enjoy great music, poorly recorded, on a cheap system, but i can't enjoy bad music, well recorded, on a audiophile system.

Just my two cents...

Cool

John Zorn - The Crucible

John Zorn, Mike Patton, Joey Baron, Trevor Dunn, and Marc Ribot.

By far the best of the "Moonchild" albums.

Mike Patton is the most amazing vocal stylist ever. On this one he finally wrestles the title from Yamantaka Eye (Boredoms, Naked City)

I'm loving this album. I only discovered the artist when he passed on and via this forum but I'm pleased I did.

I wish I could put U2 and Metalica (and many others) in a time machine and transport them back to the recording of this album and let them listen. Then I would explain about stereo seperation and crystalline production. If we could do it back then, why not now or is it like the moon landing...?

An old favourite, Kate Walsh - Tim's House.

Love listening to this at the end of a good evening when everyone else has gone to bed, but I am ready for one last armagnac and some dad time with the stereo.
