Hi Mark
regarding Laura Veirs:
Yes, I have, in an intimate 600 seat theatre June 2007 here in Portland. It was with the Saltbreakers band promoting this album. We enjoyed it very much, her voice is sensational live, she is a very good guitar player and the whole presentation was very fun-loving and her enjoying performing.
I have lost track - is your show coming soon or has it occurred ?
Jeff A
Jeff,
I saw her last year, although it was a solo show. She played a fair few from Saltbreakers. The venue was actually a small pub/restaurant (that also has a very small stage) in Chester (Telford's Warehouse is the place). There couldn't have been any more than a hundred seats and I grabbed a front row pew that had me at arms length.
As you say her voice was crystal clear and it was a great show. Got to meet her afterwards as well. It was a great night. I hope she comes back soon, but with the band next time.

I saw her in newcastle on the 'Carbon Glacier' tour. The venue was a small pub with a very low stage and it was packed. Richmond Fontaine supported and ended up missing most of lauras set as was chatting and drinking with Willy Vlautin (RF)outside. Sorry Laura.
Please try harder next time diccus

Stay away from Willy, he is trouble.
I haven't crossed paths with him in a few years but he is a genuine, meek, deeply artistic man. You were by no means wasting your time with him - but Laura is worth hearing.

I thought I did, I have these in the order I understood they were released:
I believe she also has a more recent web-site only ep that I have not heard. She is due for a new full release as it has been about 2 years. Anyway, I thought "The Triumphs ^& Travails of Orphan Mae" was the first.
Was just at her site and I see the sold out disc you are referencing - I don't know anything about it, sorry.
Also see she has some April dates local, may try to see one of those but that place only holds 50-75 people, most all standing, and she has sold out 600+ seat venues in town before.

This is funny, just bought this cd and listening to this, However when ripped to the HDX I am listening to this!

The HDX selected the censored cover!, most disappointed.
This is unacceptable! You must contact Naim immediately, so that they can put things right!
Regards,
Michel
