What greater recommendation could you have than the band 'The NME' names as the worst of all time?
This used to be one of my favorite albums when it came out.
Had the misfortune to see them twice in concert as a friend of mine was heavily into them. Pretentious tosh.

haha , don't worry, the pic was a set-up. My best friend absolutely hates Yes and all prog, the pic was for him. I found this album in a trash bin, it was in terrible shape, unplayable. So no loss, I have a pristine one myself. We did a whole series of wierd/funny pics like this and I will start a fun " Caption This " thread one day.

Oliver I see you keep dropping these XRCD discs into the thread. Generally are they any good as I have been thinking about getting some Bill Evans discs.
My collection of jazz has gone fom about 5 discs 6 days ago to about 70 discs today and more to come in.

Wow, your collection is building up quickly. Most XRCDs are very good, especially the Jazz ones. The view on the other forum is that all Bill Evans XRCDs mastered in California are outstanding and the ones mastered in Japan are so so (there is a whole thread on it). As a rule of thumb the XRCDs are a safe bet.
I think Kuma collects them as well.

I am not really bothering with what is or not the best sounding version at the moment that will come.
I have also tended to buy a lot of Blue Note discs. Most of which I have got for £3 with the odd ocassional DCC thrown in for good measure.
Still not sure what I like jazz wise so that is why I have opted for the cheap way of doing it. If I don't like it I can put it on ebay for about the same porice.
Latest discs to come in were Johnny Griffin Congregation and the Peterson West Side Story DCC. Seller listed the slip case a bit battered (they were right) and the disc was very good (stone mint) got it for peanuts.
Still have
Art Blakey
Walter Davis
Hancock
Mobely
Dexter Grodon
Donald Byrd
Kenny Dorham
Grant Green
Lou Donaldson
Freddie Hubbard
Art Pepper
Sonny Rollins
Jimmy Smith
discs to come in.
Not getting my head round Thelonious Monk at the moment but will keep playing it.
