The most static-prone LP I own for some irritating reason.... but the music is wonderful...

It's funny how listening to the track "days turn into years" from Bowness/Chilvers "overstrand" reminds you of a sound you've heard before. In this case it was the synth intro to "Heather" from Billy Cobham's Crosswinds. My Vinyl is crackly, but listening to George Duke & Michael Brecker on "Heather" is magic. I love the pre-echo on Michael's solo. I wonder if Jet Johnson like this?

Good move. The other album I play to death at the moment that has Steve Wilson all over it is Opeth Damnation. Recently released on vinyl as well. Well worth checking out.

Jeff isn't that a terrible cover for a Rock album. Looks like some Disco soul artist. Smile

It was shortly after his near-fatal heart attack in the nineties - thus the title - so I give him a little latitude in taste Winker
