What are you listening to right now? (VOL III)

The most static-prone LP I own for some irritating reason.... but the music is wonderful...

It's funny how listening to the track "days turn into years" from Bowness/Chilvers "overstrand" reminds you of a sound you've heard before. In this case it was the synth intro to "Heather" from Billy Cobham's Crosswinds. My Vinyl is crackly, but listening to George Duke & Michael Brecker on "Heather" is magic. I love the pre-echo on Michael's solo. I wonder if Jet Johnson like this?

Good move. The other album I play to death at the moment that has Steve Wilson all over it is Opeth Damnation. Recently released on vinyl as well. Well worth checking out.

Maybe when the credit card recovers....
