Hi Diccus
checked it out really like her songs do you have the CD or see her live?

Her current cd 'Pirate's gospel' is my favourite cd of the year. Saw her live at the GreenMan festival and she was excellent. Would love to see her in a more intimate venue. One of my favourite artists at the moment. If you like what you hear on myspace the album is a no brainer.

regards

Diccus

Adrian,
thanks for the recommend, I will keep it in mind. Parts of the Holland on disc X is a bit free form for my tastes on the first couple listens but this often becomes enjoyable as I familiarize myself to the sound with repeated listens. The disc IX of Pat Metheny is spectacular. Never a big fan, but several tracks on this are very special stuff.

The thing about the rarum series is that you get such a mixture of stuff on the CD's. What it does is give you a chance to hear which of the arists albums you might like best and then you can explore that genre further.

There are a lot of good Metheny albums on ECM and I particualarly recommend Travels, First Circle, Offramp, As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls and Rejoicing. 80/81 if you want to try something a little freer.

We'll see them at Sylvester - concert starts at 21.30, can think of worse ways to see in the new year. Hope sitting will be easier by then.

Today has been a mixture of Winter & Winter and ECM, have to sponsor the local guys. Too tired to post the discs.

Love that stuff, Stefan. It takes me right back to my childhood and all the summers I used to spend in Turkey visiting my grand-parents.
I got it yesterday from JPC and the first time I put it on Judy was mesmerized and wanted to know where I heard of that wonderful music, so your name came up.
