I was referring to the motorway around London that is very often (1)stuck and (2) causing flights not to be caught. Isn't that the M5 ?

Now I see what you mean! The M5 is in the West of England and M25 goes round the outside of London. There are just country roads between my house and Brighton.

Stefan - I played Arild Andersen again and as much as I wanted to be able to, I cannot recommend it. Mrs Lontano will not thank me for taking her to a concert of that next week. Time for a rethink.

Now, on ECM

Produced by Eno and Lanois

Adrian, good choice (the Hassell). Saw him, last year, and was impressed (although his records are quite different)

Tough call for the Arild concert. I have him in my books as somebody worth going...

Isis- Panopticon.

the ultimate band in heavy but atmospheric soundscapes and musical drama. Everything a masterpiece. Modern day classical, but i think the purists might have something to say about this, but its so good i couldn't care a jot.
