Forgotten all about her. Heard her some years ago now. Kept meaning to buy her first disc but never got around to it.

But thanks for reminding me re her diccus.

Re Canadian artists some of the best sites are Maplemusic, Festival Distribution and Northern Blues some great stuff on these sites.

I'm not the world's biggest fan of these, but hey - who can argue? Timeless songs and at the end of the day just such fun. Dancing away to these toons at 3am today, wonderful!!

Headless Heroes, The Silence of Love is a beautiful themed album of covers, dream't up by a chap named Eddie Bezalel, helped and produced by Hugo Nicolson, who pulled together the songs and a bunch of great musicians (Josh Klinghoffer, Woody Jackson, Joey Waronker, Leo Abrahams & Gus Seyffert) to play on it, all topped off with the voice of one Alela Diane . A simply beautiful collection of lost classics and unearthed gems sung with arresting clarity by Nevada City's emerging new folk star Alela .

Apparently it is Psychedelic which is not normally my bag but it has the wonderful Alela Diane as the singer so it has to be good. Version of Mary Chain's 'Taste like Honey' Cool
