Octopus unfazed by death threats

What sort of idiot would bet good money on the advice of an octopus? Well me actually.
I am doing pretty well at the bookies thanks to Paul the Octopus.
I only ever bet every four years, on the World Cup, (to maintain interest during the matches as my wife like to watch it on TV). Having no real idea about football and no loyalty to any team except Scotland, I decided to follow the octopus and am currently 200 quid up!
If you are interested, I favour Holland, and will probably be guided on the day by Paul, but finals aren't his thing.

I thought he was only used for Germany games. Is he branching out?
That will probably give him a leg up worldwide.

Isn't this story absolutely perfect for the Silly Season?
I love it.

"More on World Cup sensation Paul the octopus now as William Hill cut the odds of the sea creature correctly predicting the outcome of the final between Holland and Spain from evens to 10/11."

I hear this mornings news that Paul is a Brit, hatched at the Weymouth Sea Life Centre.
So great news for UK
Match officials are all British
Match result pre-set by a Brit
I wonder if Paul is open to a "negotiation" ??

Q. What's got eight arms, no spine and makes wild predictions about football matches without really having a clue?

"Those who believe in this type of thing cannot be the leaders of the global nations that aspire, like Iran, to human perfection, basing themselves in the love of all sacred values," he said.
I guess I'll just stick to what I do then. No World domination for me.

I can not make up my mind, Kim Jong-Il or Ahmadinejad - who's the greater comedian.

I'll choose "imperfection" rather than suffer that nutter.
Sacred? Sacred blue!
