NAC A5 burn in period?

Hi all,

Moved me kit.... so me old naim cable is too short by about 2 meters......damm! oh well, new cable needed.
Just wondering how long the burn in period for NACA5 is?

ok... so 2 days 80+ hits & not one reply....oh well....... I quess I'll find out how long the burn in is starting today when I pick the cables up from the dealer........Thanks for all your help... bye.

First 2 hours are edgy and harsh, then it gets a little better, 2 days is ok, 5 days sounds fab, 3 weeks maxxed out. It's not a linear process though - you might find its sounds good after a few hours and then sounds less good the day after. Improvement is slight after the 5 days.

I'm picking the new cables up this afternoon & rest assured I will be hooked up by 5.30 this evening playing music with a vengence burning those babys in!! I'll let you know how things go!

what would the effect be of supporting the NACA5 on 4 phases of Mana for its full length?

Hi Jezz & Hakan,

Thankyou for your helpful comments, Your right about the 2 hour thing! After this they did settle down a bit. I have left the kit playing on repeat for today whilst I'm at work, this will hopefully speed the burn-in process up!
It will be nice to get back to how my old cables
sounded then I can relax again.
