Nobody here into F1 then?

But it's not there to look pretty, it's there to go fast ........

It has to look pretty too. You wouldn't want to buy a Ferrari if it looked like a Ford Sierra would you?
For a F1 car, it's gross. Looks to me like a 70's Scaletrix car. MInardi's always look nice, but isn't F1 too boring to watch? I used to never miss a race, but haven't bothered for the last 4 years because it's soooo dull.

Rasher, I agree 100%, F1 is now so boring as to be almost unwatchable. For exciting driving I watch rallying (even that is getting worse with the technology now being used) and for close racing I look to the motorbikes.

Anyway, of course it's ugly - it's a new BMW Big Grin

Yeah...me too. I used to be addicted to WSB until Rossi came along and made GP500 great again. The Doohan years seemed to parallel where F1 is now funnily enough.
I wish rallying was properly covered on TV. If ITV gave the same teatment to it as F1, then it would be awesome.

For the non Ferrari fan I guess F1 isn't as much fun as it once was. Never mind, it can't last for much longer - another two or three seasons at most. Big Grin

Daytona speed week races were pretty good this year.
I like F1 racing which is why I have not enjoyed the last few years. Can't help feeling the powers to be like Shitmaker winning everything, pushing and barging his way to the top. Mind you it would help if the cars could stay on the road if they came up on another car.
I'll stick to the US style "stock car" racing May 2 Rockingham (Corby), only a shame there won't be the 40+ cars they get in the US.
Ugliest F1 car ever? That french teapot thing in the 70s or the Eiflander(spl) was grim as well. Lotus 49 ,72&79 Eagle to name a few shows fast and attractive are possible.

Schwantz was my hero - still is - and I was so glad when he retired before he hurt himself.
There will never be another Kev. Reason I bought every model of GSXR750 as they came out, right from the first slab sided "Kev Transatlantic", right up to the GSXR750WN flabmobile.

"US style "stock car" racing " I like the small circuit oval racing in the UK, too. Making the best drivers start from the back certainly means loads of overtaking in every race. Mind you the crowds at these events can be a bit scary - tatooed knuckles and shellsuits abound.
