Where to from here?

Greetings,

Yes its like a broken record, (or skipping CD) its boring as batshit and equally inane. Yes I said I would never darken this doorstep again But........

I have just taken a big step in my rig and added a 52 to: CDS2, 250, Supercap, SBL's on Fraim.

As is customary straight after an upgrade and in the interests of achieving a stable personal internal environment where in those quiet times one can contemplate "I have this system, but what I REALLY want is; insert hi-cap, Supercap, NBL, 500, mains done etc, etc. Or, to friends who ask "whats next then" "well, I have this system but what I actually want soon is bla, bla, bla "what will that do then?" "everything"
Why did you get this then when last time I came round you said the last new bit did everything?" "because there is always more insert you: mo fo, slag, arsewipe etc etc."

So what is that thing?

Options are of course: New 250, XPS2, 252 not an option (yet) SL2's perhaps but not without other steps in between one suspects.

What should I tell myself, what should I tell friends, family and colleagues should they ask?

It's a boy we are trying for but a 300 will do?

Plops!

Jonny.

CDS2,52,SC,250,SBL,Fraim?

Johnathan..you are finished.
Wake up and smell the coffee man. Divert spending to wine, women & song I think.

Jonathan, the only next step is a big one, but there are only two options. I'd have to try the two options since I'm not sure which would be more beneficial, and there is the question of room size. The options are:

* a 500
* a 552

Regards,
Frank.

"change the CDS2 bundy to the latest spec. Then upgrade the XPs to the XPS2"

What is the point of buying a new S-burndy then having 2 of them when you buy the XPS2?

Tom & Redeye have it. Start with the mains, costs little and can be considered "fiddling around" rather than an upgrade (makes you feel better about it somehow).
Then - time to listen, women, wine in that order. Coffee you can fit in at work or at other times. That's it. stop there. (Time to listen and women are of course mutually incompatible - but wine goes with both).

It looks like a very fine system to me too. The 52 did magical things to my system and cured me of upgraditis for a long time.

If you really must; a dem of 2 x 250 active (plus SNAXO and HiCap) vs a single 300 may be fun. I'd put my money on the former, more from 'active' prejudice than any knowledge!
