Hi,
Something for those quiet evenings when rock is too raucous and classical doesn't appeal:
"The Celtic Circle".
If you enjoy electric folk (like Clannad) you'll love this. I've become almost obsessed with this double CD.
Beautifully recorded, incredible voices and wide range of superb music.
I'd have thought it would make an ideal demo CD for a hifi show.
Instant listener attraction from waifs with attitude?
Guaranteed bums on seats!

I find the wonderful quality of these female singers enormously appealing. They carry the tune without fear. Dune with "Who want's to live forever?" is a gorgeous example of vocal "frailty" that is absolutely spellbinding. I must look into some more of their stuff.

I found some samples, at last I have found out what that Vangelis track is. Album sounds pretty good I will have to hunt down a copy.
Where did you get yours? I am having trouble finding the 2 CD version.
Thanks again Nime.
Regards
Howard

I borrowed mine from a local library. CDs & film DVDs are free to borrow from Danish libraries. One can belong to lots of libraries free of charge. Including the dedicated music library in the city which carries masses of classical stuff! That's a huge potential source of free music.
It's a great way to to try an album before you purchase, or not. I usually look for a disc for my collection in one of the many second hand outlets first. They sell for between £4 and £8 here depending on artist & condition.
Unfortunately the only shop I knew of with a decent classical selection closed.
