Downloading videos from You Tube

Is it possible to download videos from You Tube? There are loads of great music videos on there and I would love to be able to burn them to a CD.

In fact there is a video on there of virtually anyone you can name, most of it concert footage but in the case of old jazz, blues and country there are film clips as well

Hmm,good question....don't know the answer though...

I just uploaded 2 video's on youtube, last week!

First one is a scene from my favorite TV-serie Cold Feet
(Irish actor James Nesbitt, who still thinks he's a babe-magnet) Big Grin

Video nr.2 is some live footage of guitarist Dave Gonzales, from one of my favorite live bands, the Paladins.
They visited Nijmegen, in june 2004.
They're a smashing rockabilly/blues(y) band from San Diego. I've seen 'em live about 8 times.

Check it out here Cool

and to stay Naim-related...West-End HiFi-show Budapest 2005, but you probably knew that one already Winker

IIRC you have a Mac if you down load from the second link in my post you'll have a program called TubeSock. It is $15, but you can try it for free. Just type in the YouTube URL and it'll download the clip for you and convert it (first 30 seconds on trial version) then you can play it with QuickTime - the file type is mp4, but it does others. I just used it with that excellent clip of the Paladins you uploaded.

All the best, Rotf

On mac simply pull up Activity in Safari and double click the largest file in that window. That will download the vid. Then use isquint to convert it to quicktime. Free and easy.
