Explosions in the Sky

Has anyone listened to this instrumental cd? A friend claims it is great and sounds excellent. trouble is he listens with a $500 stereo that sounds tinny.

There was a track on Uncut's free CD a month or two ago - I thought it was very average. Like a band trying to sound like Godspeed You! Black Emperor but without any of their musical creativity, emotion or power.

They are a band who grow on you, and you find as you listen more that there's much more going on than at first thought.

If you like this kind of stuff and don't mind going heavier either then check out Isis.....absolutely amazing.

I've got The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place. It's okay, but some of the beats are very monotonous and can get on your nerves after a while. I can see what they are trying to do, but they're not fully there yet.
