Vinyl Anachronist

I haven't seen any mention of this one in any of the forums, but I happened across an interesting site that contain a series of essays on vinyl, turntables, storage systems, reissues, tweaks, etc. The thirty or so essays are quite well written and entertaining. The author, Marc Phillips, states that he is a Naim loyalist.

The Vinyl Anachronist is part of the Perfect Sound Forever online mag. Note that there is a decidedly Southern California slant to it.

I have no interest in this thing other than enjoying the content. If you are interested, here's the link:

That column is ok, but what's really great are often fascinating interviews with underground musicians of yesterday and today, like Keith Levine of Clash/PiL, Ron Asheton of the Stooges, and tons tons more, all archived. I've spent many hours at work reading this stuff. Plus, most everyone they interview does a top ten albums thing, which is also archived on one big page. Fascinating, and a great place to get ideas for what to check out.

www.furious.com/perfect (or something close) is the link.
