The Bob Dylan painting exhibition at the Halcyon Gallery.

Yesterday I finally got the chance to have a look at Dylan's paintings at the Halcyon Gallery at Bruton St London W1. This is a collection called the The Drawn Blank Series and is really about his move from paper to canvas.

The paintings are mainly Impressionistic but I did see a Cubist leaning in some. They are beautiful in execution, with vibrant colours, broad brush strokes with great colour contrast and feature composition, some had a playful eroticism and others were desolate in feel like the one with lone railroad track spearing off into the distance. I was very impressed with all of his works in this exhibition. Sadly it leaves for Denmark next week so you'll have to be quick to see it.
