Aerial for my Creeky Creek
Posted by: Blobdang on 19 February 2004
Just got an old Creek CAS3140 on Ebay for £40 - not bad methinks. My train of thought working within limited budget to concentrate on a decent aerial (rather than better newer tuner with inferior aerial).
Does anyone know of a good roof aerial retailer/ fitter in the Sussex area, in particular Brighton?
Any other Creek CAS3140 users out there - how are there's set up?
All ears...

Geoff,
Briant& Rice [ they were located at
72a Beaconsfield Rd. Tel.550125 but may have moved now] not only obtained my Ron Smith for me, but also passed on their trade Discount to me. They fitted and alined the Aerial, and generaly made a very job of it for a resonable price. I would have no problem reconmending them to anybody. Unfortunately, eventualy I had to have the aerial removed as its oscillations in the winds we get up here at the top of the downs kept both ourselves and neighbours awake at nights.[ Moral is if you live near the top of the downs be careful with the size of your chosen aerial]. As Whitehawk hill is the local BBC repeater station you do not need a Galaxie 17 or equivalent, something more modest will suffice.
all the best, oldie.
