I was thinking of buying a pair of trousers and wondered what other forum members would recommend.

I suspect your enquiry is not entirely serious, but it gives me an opportunity to recommend Rohan 'bags'. Perfect for walking/traveling or as jean substitutes.
They are very tough, very light, don't need ironing, wash easily, windproof, dry unbelievably quickly if you are caught in the rain, and last for years. They are the DB's of trousers.

You mean you've never had any before?

......and if you do decide to buy trousers with two legs, please ensure that you put the little zipper at the front.

Rohan bags probably go well with the Naim anorak, which may still be available.
I favour a well-worn and particularly shiny pair of polyester ones, preferably Farah slacks with leg measurement at least 1 inch too short.

I'd go to the shops and see what they have on offer. As a member of this forum you probably have too much money, so why not engage a personal shopper?

Farah Slacks
Oh, the joys of school boy fashion years ago. Our 'uniform' consisted of said trousers with Adidas Kick trainers (with or without VW emblem (Beastie Boys era)). Very stylish!

i would also recomend that when you have chosen you ideal pair, try to upgrade to some with pockets in,you'll find that with just the right amount of coin's,key's and fluff in the pocket's,you will walk faster and stay drier for longer.
you could even wear layers of new pants with diferent types of shorts between each layer,of-course you will have to experiment with the last idea as it's all a matter of personal taste.
