New Beatles audiophile reissues

Just poached this from the Diverse website
" THE BEATLES LIMITED EDITION JAPANESE LPs
EMI in Japan are re-pressing the entire Beatles back catalogue. This includes the 15 previously released titles plus Let It Be….Naked. The 16 titles will be a one-off pressing and limited in number, and orders are being taken at the show. The prices are £25 for the single LPs and £35 for the double LPs. (£430 for a full set)
Japanese pressings are usually of the highest quality, on heavy vinyl with excellent sleeves....and collectors love the obi strips and other paraphernalia that usually accompanies a Japanese pressing. We have no information regarding the mastering of these LPs at present, and therefore we are assuming they’ll be utilizing the existing digital masters. "

might be interesting although I'm not that sure about the Jap pressings, what do others think?

Only got the one Japanese recording, The Cars debut album which I also have on reissue. The Japanese pressing is way ahead of this. Very clear and detailed, (tape hiss quite apparent) with deep and tight bass but still manages to sound easy on the ear. Cant say how it would compare with an original copy.
£25-£35 is an awfull lot of money though.
