...anyone tried this - I quite like the idea re multi-room etc...also quite like the ease of use etc withe a NAS drive into the router etc. i know it won't sound as good as a 'real hifi', but bearing in mind the alterations we are doing etc i think it has possibilities...

I was Project Manager last year on a large luxury house which was stuffed full of IT and we put two sonus amp systems in, one in the dining room and one in the master bedroom/ensuite. The client was very pleased with the system and it appeared to be very easy and quick to access the data on the server. In his case he had a dedicated media cupboard where he sited his music/video server (2 Tb if I remember), complete with air conditioning etc. Sound quality was remarkably good, given that they went for MA recessed ceiling speakers.
