The question is simple: Nait 2 or 42.5/90.3 ?
All are mint condition

Wait for your quality responses.
Thanks,

Pre/Power for upgradability.

Hi Ozren

your question is not that simple for those who don't know that you already own the Nait2. I suggest that you consider the 42.5/90.3 as an upgrade to your integrated. If the pre/power combo is a bargain, i would go for it but would keep the legendary Nait2. The time will come when your main system has grown to very sophisticated naim boxes and you'll be glad that you can set up a second system with your Nait2 in your bedroom or bathroom...

Thanks for reply.
Yes, I actually have Nait2, but I am not into doubt with 42.5, it is old but I have reasons to believe that is good. Actually I am in doubt about 90.3, I think that should be better, but on thwe other side I have heard around that Nait2 work better than Nait3. NAP90 is something like Nait3 so...
I am short for some information.
Anyway, should I go for it or no?

In that case I'd say no. Try and get hold of a 110 or 140 instead.

I had a 42-5/110 for many years and was very happy with it. I compared it to the Nait and there was no contest.

The pre-power amp is just better in every deparment clarity, bass and depth of scale.

Go for the 42-5/90.3.

Ozren,

I take it you can't try the two amps together somewhere?

Be careful. The Nait 1 and 2 have a certain magic, that you may miss with a pre-power combo.

Some years ago, a friend (and contributor here) went from a Nait 1 to a 42/110 (or similar) and felt that something was missing.

Unless you need more power or inputs; I'd be inclined to keep the Nait until you can afford a more substantial and worthwhile upgrade.

Thank you guys, but now I am just more confused and need to be fast.
I also believe that 42.5/110 are better than Nait2, but NAP90.3 is in this case a very compromiting segment.
Maybe you will help me if you know a difference between 42.5 and 92 + 110 and 90.3.
Thanks,

Ozren
