I do own a CDS-II and I know exactly what this review is attempting to convey. I listened to the Wadia 860 and the CD12 and the CDS-II still came in top for me. I now have the wonderful 500 and it's opening up even more of the CDS-II than I had before. Top machine IMHO.

Look at the byline. Bob's a fine contributor to this forum.I think his rather rococo style has a certain charm and wit.
