creative audio on fraim...

came across the following line from Creative Audio (nice chaps) web site in a news item on the naim fraim stand:

"... but to any long suffering enthusiast, a rack that sounds this good, without looking like a stack of angle iron will be mana from heaven (!)"

NB: quoted without permission from Creative Audio -- with apologies if they mind.

enjoy

I think that is the difference. The word "mana" is a word like any other.
"Mana" is a stand like no other!
They'd be on dodgy ground making a simile to the latter, but a metaphor to the former shouldn't be a problem.
It's a bit cheeky of them though! big grin

It's always a nice day for it, have a good one wink

The problem with your theory is that the mana from heaven is spelt manna.

As far as I know, JW was going to call Mana Manna but whilst checking definitions stumbled across Mana: "a supernatural power associated with people and things"

mana is also to do with standing in one's community, spirtual status, cultural background etc.
