Johnny Dankworth has passed away
Many many happy memories, too many to mention.
He moved me into jazz & big band & gave me the intensive to do so many things with music.

The sad news was sent to me through this link earlier today.

The Stables venue he set up with Cleo Laine in Wavendon, near Milton Keynes, is one I love to visit.

I was shocked and saddened when I heard the news on Sunday. The concerts I went to with him and Cleo performing were simply wonderful. I wonder if Cleo will ever perform again - they were such a team and loving couple.

Sad news indeed.

Will always remember him for two superb compositions - 'The Avengers' and 'Tomorrows World' Themes.
