NAC 62 [1988]

Hi chaps
Help! I use the aux input on my NAC62 [ 1988 model ] for my Naim CD 3.5 player. I would like to move up to NAC 72 but have been unlucky obtaining one,ah well.My question is it possible to modify the 62 aux circuit to bypass the not needed bits ie a direct circuit simular [if possible ]to a NAC 72?. This would hopefully save purchasing a NAC 72 [ and my stress looking for one ] my power amp NAP 140 [1988 ]
