Brit Awards In Old ****'s Prejudices Confirmation

I watched a bit of the Brit Awards tonight; as much as I watched (it was droning on as I started on my taxes), it was the usual nonentities and posers; I suppose the least blah thing about it was Coldplay winning for one of their vanilla-yogurt tunes. But then...Paul Weller came on with his band and did a blistering set; he really is a UK national treasure, looking like a younger, more relevant Rod Stewart and rocking the free world with his Epiphone. I'm ashamed that we in the U.S. have never warmed up to him (well, I'VE got the Jam best-of CD anyway), he deserves real worldwide success.

He is always great live. I saw him in the mid '80s during his post Jam period just before discovering blues and he was still good then.
