There is a nice picture of harpsichord on Tam's Walcha Plays Bach Thread, which is worth a look! Fredrik

Wow! How any other instruments do you play Fredrik?
Posted on: 28 May 2006 by u5227470736789439
Not mine sadly!. It is the Type of instrument Helmut walcha used for his recordings on the Harpsichord of old Bach. I was never any use at keyboards, but I would like to have a go now if the chance came along...
I lacked the confidence to really let go as a child.

What sort of work do you do at ungodly hours then?

Make bloody conserves on the second shift, which has made itself monumentally unpopular by being a good 35% more productive than the morning shower, over a rather long time. I have two Polish boys I trained up and they would wipe the floor with any British workers I have had the privelege to work with.
The rivalries and jealousies thus generated (largely because they respect me and I them, though we have reached a stage where we are friendly as well) have reached a point where I want to get out, and they will both go back to Poland if I do.
Life sucks from time to time.

Conserve: Not a definition, but Lemon curd is a conserve, rather than a preserve, which is typically jam or marmalade. The process is similar, but the result slightly different.
If you shop at J Sainsbury, Asda, Morrison, (the list does go on) and buy a steam pudding for example you will eat something I made. The glupe at the bottom! Or the Fondant on the top of Cream or Custard slices, or the Chocolate on the top of Cream Eclairs...
We are are also busy with Summer Fruit filling for Summer Fruit thingies! Best stew your own fruit in my view, though there is nothing wromg with what we do!
But I guess you may think that I wish I was doing something else...

Fredrik,
Unlike hi-fi and other luxury items, people will always need food.
Oh, and the glupe at the bottom of a steam pudding is the best bit of course!

Fredrik,
Ah I see. I hope this hasn't been covered before on the forum. It sounds like you do dislike your job. Why don't you find a job that you like?

Dear Jim,
I having been trying to convince some decent employer or another for 25 odd years that I would be a good employee in any number of areas. Without, regretably, any success...
Yes I am a bit fed up with it all... Fredrik
