Mercury prize winner, Mojo and Observer album of the year. This year they got it right.

Well, I'm listening to the "bird" CD for the second time. For some reason it sounds better with the wick turned well up though my wife does not agree. Not as immediately accessible as I expected after the TV show. But worth persevering I think. A remarkable voice. A higher pitch with girly edges but with underlying sense of suppressed power, reinforced by vibrato. One is almost reminded of the castrati. Remarkable sense of timing with emotion in spades. May leave mainstream pop musak for dead but difficult to define which genre he really fits into. Is this top ten material? Does it matter?

BTW: Is Squarepusher a tribute user name or are you the original artist?

I used to play games on line and when I first started this was who I was listening to at the time. And well, it stuck....

I do actually quite like his music tho.
In particular,
Hard Normal Daddy & Music is Rotted One Note.

I tried the last but not the former.
"Busy" is a good description I think.
