Compilations

Having been thoroughly underwhelmed by this months Uncut CD when I popped it on in the car tonight (apart from the ever fantastic Detroit Cobras...), I switched to the last one I made myself, which was much better. So if I can do better than REM can and assuming others out there still make compilation CDs/Tapes for car use etc., what was on the last one you made.

Here's mine:

Stellarstarr* - No Weather
The Libertines - Time For Heroes
Tegan & Sara - Living Room
Jon Langford & His Sadies - Drugstore
The Burn - Big Blue Sky
Sleater-Kinney - Combat Rock
Dan Bern - Crow
Transplants - Diamonds & Guns
Subway Sect - Don't take it all out on me
The Goldenhour - Fading Out
The Go - Games
Richard Hawley - The Nights Are Made For Us
The Black keys - Hold Me In Your arms
The White Stripes - Well it's true that we...
The Kills - Wait
Subway Sect (again) - Lazy so and so
The mooney Suzuki - Oh Sweet Susanna
British Sea Power - Something wicked
Athlete - Westside
The Mike Curb Congregation - Burning Bridges

Beat that Uncut!

I tend to make genre specific complilations for the car.

The latest tape was a Drum'n'Bass secltion, consisting of:

Echo - Out of time / Solaris

Jaimeson - Complete (Danny Fresh Full 12" mix)
D3BC - Mo' Fire / Nitrous
Total Science - Squash (D3BC mix)

Other in car tapes include a Michaal Mayer selection, A Cologne Shuffle fever selection, a post punk one with Rapture, Liars, Out Hud, !!! etc. and a Electrolux singles one.

What a great idea to swap compilations!! I'd have a copy of those if it wasn't illegal Wink

Rasher, I'm sure you could borrow a CDR from someone if you wanted, for in car use for instance...
