Job Suitability ?

Wether one thinks that homosexuals should be parents or not (naturally or adoptive), wether one thinks only parents themselves should babysit, wether it's right; like puppies at Christmas, that newly adoptive parents only want to take young sweet babys to mould and not older kids (like their animal counterparts in the doghouse literally) I've often wondered that as a great percentage of brilliant Child Psychologists, Paediatricians, and other Child specialists etc, etc, in The Western World are childless themselves, wether their patients parents should actually allow them to touch and treat them, innit ?

Fritz Von Obvious innit Cool

"Lickle Darlins" I was just wondering if the little bastards were inspired to do this possibly because of the latest mobile filming fad (forgotten what they call it now) ? Frown

Is that one of those "made-up facts"; or do you have a source?

I'm afraid I can't say too much at this stage Cool

Fritz I see yet two more have been arrested in the McCartney case, maybe unlike the previous 12 arrested though, the cops may be able to actually make something stick this time, or will the terror merchants get to them first once again ? Just think the IRA offerred to shoot them, so that would have been 14 in all (to date), innit.

Some Find This Case Pointless !!! Confused

Sometimes Fritz you really do hit a nerve.

Can I just get clear what you suggest;

Is it

a) Childless professionals are more likely to be incompetent when dealing with children?

or

b) That childless professionals are more likely to have some dubious reason for not having kids and therefore present a risk to children (of abuse).

I'd just like to know. Both strike me as ignorant and offensive, although not quite in equal measure.

You should most definately ignore anything you consider as rubbish old Son ! and my comments refer neither to a) nor b), they imply as clearly put across here, and in many other places where subjects involving kids are involved that only actual parents are in some way qualified to discuss or treat/look after children (until it suits their needs otherwise). I soley attempt to question this common mentality, and try to understand parents who besides (having an obvious maternal love & Protection for their children) pillory any other thought (from whatever professional level) that derived from non natural parents, if you get my drift ?

Fritz Von As out Mat quite rightly often says, it is of no importance, ignore it, have a pint instead, innit Big Grin

In my experience parents do not 'pillory' the ideas of non-parents who have experience of knowledge of their chosen field but have either been unable, or have chosen not to, procreate.

Perhaps I'm wrong.

A little professional detachment can be useful sometimes, wether you have experience of a situation or not.

Quite right, I decided I needed some mineral water high in trace elements, though I am currently doshing down some cool Chilean Claret 2003 (a great month) to wash away some nasty fish bones I accidently nearly choked upon (raising the whole Forum's hopes there I'm sure, some much more than others no doubt, or maybe not ? !!!):

Fritz Von You may have the last word if you wish, innit, cheers again Winker
