Well, i have just sat through the entire 'Autobahn' track of 22mins from the remastered cd.

Yeah, yeah, booooooooring some of you might say and ,well, yes i can very much see your point.

But putting that aside, considering the amount of electronic instruments that were available in the day ('74) what a remarkable piece of music.

Everything must have been played live because computers were'nt used in music and certainly not samplers.

Credit where its due.

Its a shame they couldnt get on.

Who knows what they might have produced today eh.

Well a fantastic tour last year and a brilliant live album a couple of months ago wasn't a bad start. Tour de France soundtracks trom 2003 is well worth investigating also.

Perhaps the rumours of their demise is misplaced Winker

The Min Max album will, I hope go down as an all time great. Nowadays it’s easy to dismiss it as boring and a bit twee, but you have to view the music in the context of the time it was recorded, what everybody else was doing and what they managed to squeeze out of the technology available. Not only is it timeless to my ears, but remastered releases have failed to hit any sonic or dynamic limits – unlike many 70/80s efforts that seem to be more artefact than content when ‘cleaned up’. Part of the magic is knowing when to stop. If they do at least they can be proud of their legacy. Although I get the impression that they wouldn’t really give a toss.

Cheers

So when did the remastered version come out!? I thought they weren't going to release any remastered versions of their work? Have they released others such as the Man Machine?

Thanks

Trans-Europe Express, Radio-Activity, Autobhan, The Mix, Man Machine have all either been remasrered or are due for release soon. I heard that the whole back catalogue was coming out remastered this year although we seem to be running out of year.

Cheers

I believe that there is a special edition box set version of the DVD coming out too. 101cd are advertising the standard DVD plus this special, but no more details. Does anyone know what is in this?
