Ku Stone for Kabers

Muchachos
Just managed to get my hands on a set of the Ku Stone supports for my Kabers. First impressions are that it seems to make my old speakers sound as if they are a model higher than they where. More bass, clearer treble and a nicer sound. Rare as rocking horse droppings, apparantly so I am feeling even more smug than usual. To be fair, I have just put in a black SNAIC in place of the old grey one - initial impression was Not Good, but it is burning in and helps matters. Some of the improvement may well be due to this.
Has anyone else swapped old stands for Ku Stone? Is it sounding better because I want it to?

Mike - the stone bases for the Ninkas makes it completely different speaker (better!) Linn undoubtedly developed the concept from the earlier line.

Probably some twenty or so years ago a fellow called Russ Andrews introduced a speaker stand that was as far as i can remember of tubular construction, consisting of a rectangular mdf tube lined with carpet and then filled with builders plaster, he also started to sell a deck with a similar base the original one obtained rave revews at the time but was never put into production ( I know as I ordered one from him but never received it.)It should work
as the plaster is dead weight and inert so no transfered vibrations unfortuniatly at the same time both he and one of his reviewer colleagues
also promoted using one of their "special purple"felt tip pens (I think his name was something Hughs) to mark the outer edge of cd's
this apparently was supposed to improve the sound .This advice seemed to infLuence the success of what could have been a very good deck and speaker stands. Why not try it?, mdf and plaster is cheaper than Ku Stone

Labrax
In inches: 11.3" wide x 12.2" deep, x 1.1" high pre-spikes;
In continental 28.8 cm x 31.9 cm x 3 cm.
IMHO well worth seeking out. Even The Nagger says she can hear the improvement.
