Time Travel

Slow day at work; I invented a time travel machine.

Finally your chance to see three concerts you missed:

Mine are:

1. Beethoven premiere of the 4th symphony 1807 (I think); This symphony seems strangely underrated; I find it an extremely exciting piece of music, by far my favourite amongst Beethoven’s symphonies. I would have loved to see the reactions of the public at the premiere and of course seeing/hearing it played at its time; can’t beat that.

2. Joy Division, Paris 18 December 1979.
Never got to see Joy Division live; by the time I cottoned on to the Joy Division phenomenon, Ian was dead. I thought New Order was never quite the same. I want to go to the Paris concert because of the live recording of Le Bains Douches; imagine listening to it now knowing you were there.

3. Woodstock; obviously

your turn

Another good thread, probably done before, but I don't care.

1. Joy Divsion, as above. Do like NO lots having seen them at a number of venues.

2. Talking Heads at CBGBs. Hopefully being supported the poor relations, Blondie Eek

3. Nick Drake at the Albert Hall. Sublime, anybody got a bootleg?

Lots more, but these are probably my all time favs.

And that's the best use you could find for a time machine?

"and that's the best use you could find for a time machine"

This is the music room; nothing stops you from starting a similar threat in the padded cell

Well I DID see Joy Division Big Grin but I wouldn't mind going back and seeing them again...

1) VdGG - anytime anywhere. But I WILL be seeing the reunion in May Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

2) Magazine - was always a fan, somehow never got to see them live.

3) Dr Feelgood in a small sweaty club. I saw the post Wilko Feelgoods, not as good as they used to be and I saw Wilko's Solid Senders in a small sweaty club who were superb.

On the other hand I'd probably take the entire Beatles back catalogue and copyright it before John and Paul wrote a note...
