I have just sold my Proac D15's which will be disappearing from my living room fairly soon and I need some advise on speaker configs. My system set-up ( inc what is on order ) will be
CDXII/XPS2/252/AV2/300/SCII/NAPV175/NAP150
So my thoughts are to purchase a NAPV145 to drive the centre channel and a set of Naim speakers all round either Allae Front/Axess Centre/Intros Rears or use SL2's instead of Allaes. Any opionions on the difference between those set-ups or any other alternatives which would do justice to my front end for both AV and music.
Thanks

Hi rael
So you've sold the D15s. Ok.
I reckon you shoould end up with SL2s and the Axent centre on 145s and intro2s or Allaes at the rears.
BUT: for pity's sake get a CDS3 transport before you do anything! You won't believe how much it sorts out all the rest of the system and how old-fashioned the CDS2 sounds .
Then if you get intros or allaes first then you can always put them to the rears later and get the centre and 145 amps last.
super important to know that the cheaper centre is better suited to the intros, but the Axent is better for Allaes and Sl2s.
Luck mate.

Hi Joe90
I sold my D15's and the Proac CC1 Centre.
Thanks for those comments, I will take them on board reference the CDS3, as cost wise I can do that upgrade from the CDXII at relativley low cost compared to the SL2's upgrade. So a sensible upgrade path might be
Upgrade 1
Purchase CDS3
Sell CDXII
Purchase Allaes
Purchase Axess
NAPV175
Upgrade 2
Purchase SL2's ( Allaes -> Rears )
OR
Buy Intros for the Rear
Move Allaes to secondary music room
Upgrade 3
Purchase NAPV145
Upgrade 4
Purchase Axent
Sell Axess or move to secondary room
Looking at the above it sounds like an excellent idea, Many Thanks exactly what I was looking for, sometimes you get punch drunk with the number of possible permutations of upgrade, but this upgrade path does make sense.
Cheers

Hi rael
I wouldn't buy the centre speaker twice though. Get the top model outright. Just wait a little longer. It won't be that hard to wait

let me know what you think of the CDS3 on a thread here. I think its simply amazing what it does to CD. Heard it with a 552 500 and the results are stupendous.
