You can edit them but only for a period of time which I think is 2 hours. After that you stick with what you wrote.

It's way less than 2 hours, 40-50 minutes I think.

The forum rules state that editing can be done for "some 45 minutes" after posting. I wonder why the time frame is qualified by the word "some"....

I expect it's a rhetorical flourish.
